Plíšková Hosts a Tournament for Klokánek

Karolína Plíšková found some time in her busy practice schedule and hosted a celebrity tennis tournament that earned over half a million CZK for her endowment fund. As usual, the raised funds will be used for a good cause. In this time before Christmas, the famous tennis player decided to support the Fund for Children in Need (FOD) called Klokánek.

A whole range of famous personalities from the world of sports as well as culture met in Vestec near Prague for the charity doubles tournament under the auspices of Karolína Plíšková’s Endowment Fund, including football players Horst Siegl, Ladislav Vízek with his daughter Pavlína Šmicerová, and Tomáš Necid, ice-hockey players Tomáš Vlasák and Patrik Eliáš, or the TV presenter Petr Suchoň.

The atmosphere was great during the whole day, there were Christmas sweets on sale and these profits also went to our best tennis player’s account. “I’m happy another event went off so well again. Everybody was having fun and we helped a good cause,” said Plíšková, who was willingly posing for photos with spectators of all ages and kept signing autograph cards throughout the day.

The tournament was followed by an afterparty in a nearby casino, where Plíšková competed in cocktail making, sports items were auctioned and the program also included a performance by the popular duo, Těžkej Pokondr. “In the evening, the atmosphere was already very relaxed and we even danced to Těžkej Pokondr’s music. I would really like to thank to all participants and partners. We are very happy for their support,” concluded Karolína Plíšková, who already earned over one million CZK with her fund.
